Clarksons Platou Pedals its Way to £50,000 for Charity

On Tuesday 27 September, 23 global teams competed in the Clarksons Platou Charity Giving Day.  Teams from the company's offices in Houston, London, Oslo, Dubai and Singapore pedalled 120km in less than four hours.  Collectively they raised more than £50,000 for two very worthwhile charities: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (one of the Lord Mayor's selected charities) and The London Sports Trust (which aims to inspire change in young people through the power of sport).

The event was held in conjunction with City Giving Day which highlights the charitable activities of companies based in the City of London and was attended by Lord Mayor Jeffrey Mountevans who threw his support behind the teams by jumping on a bike.

The winning team was the Oslo office's "Golden Old Boys" who, despite an average age of 57 years, powered their way to victory on the day.
