Introducing new Maritech CEO Peter Schrøder
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Schrøder as CEO of Maritech as of 19 April 2022.
Peter has a wealth of experience spanning more than 20 years in the technology world across a wide variety of industries including telecoms, gaming, publishing and, most recently, shipping. His role as Chief Digital Officer of Maersk Tankers yielded numerous innovations including the creation of ZeroNorth the vessel optimisation platform, the launch of VesselTruth and the cooperation with CargoMetrics to develop data-driven, evidence-based chartering and fleet allocation signals.
Maritech's journey so far developing tools-for-trade for the maritime and offshore industry, has been achieved through the combined efforts of the entire pioneering team that has been building and commercialising the Sea/ suite of products. It is a great and exciting time to now bring Peter in as CEO to further develop and deliver on the opportunity.
Peter Schrøder, incoming CEO of Maritech, commented:
“I am excited to have been offered this role. Maritech has a tremendous opportunity before it as it is uniquely positioned in the market for digital pre-fixture analysis and at-fixture execution. It enables better decisions for charterers, brokers and owners through the Sea/ platform and, together with the exceptional team at Maritech, I look forward to executing and delivering on the potential we see for the business.”
Jeff Woyda, Chairman of Maritech added: “I am delighted that Peter is joining as CEO of Maritech. His skills and experience will enable us to move the Sea/ platform forward as our product roll-out and client base increases. I thoroughly look forward to working with him.”
