We engage clients via meetings and presentations, client forums, client feedback and input into product development, social media and our website.

ACTIONS AND OUTCOMES

Enhancing solutions to overcome complexity

Our Green Transition team continues to work with clients on evolving regulations and broader decarbonisation strategies. We continued our investment in developing digital solutions that can facilitate decision-making, and support negotiation and management of freight transactions. Against a complex geo-political backdrop, we continued to develop our sanctions compliance programme.

Our employees are our biggest asset

We utilise a variety of channels to engage, develop and retain our people including leadership and divisional management forums, our Employee Voice Forum, global conferences, active management, our internal communications channel (Voyage), social media channels, digital platforms, social and networking opportunities and CSR activities.

ACTIONS AND OUTCOMES

New resources for better outcomes

We released new training and development resources, and encouraged opportunities for cross-business collaboration in key areas such as digitalisation and net-zero initiatives. We continue to support staff in charitable activity that is meaningful to them, and enhanced the mental health-focused benefits that we provide. We also conducted our first ESG materiality assessment to inform the foundations of an action plan. We continue to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and focus on leading with compassion and empathy through management and leadership.

Our communities

The communities in which we operate around the world

Our stakeholders include the shipping community, industry-related partnerships and the wider communities in which we operate. We strive to have a positive and lasting impact on our communities because we believe that behaving in a socially responsible way is the right thing to do. We engage our communities via publications and our database, sharing expertise and knowledge through participation in industry forums, as well as employee directorships of shipping-related boards, industry partnerships, volunteering, charitable donations and the use of social media.

ACTIONS AND OUTCOMES

Insight drives better outcomes

To help our communities gain clarity in a fast-changing world, Clarksons continued to support new and existing partnerships and provided our Sea digital solutions to maritime universities at a significantly discounted rates. Local communities benefit from our employees' dedication to charitable giving and volunteering which is supported further through donations from The Clarkson Foundation.
