We encourage our shareholders to receive their shareholder communications and documents electronically and via our website. This is quicker for you and helps us to reduce our impact on the environment. It’s easy to register for electronic communications, simply:

2.     Sign up to receive electronic communications

3.     You will now automatically receive an email when shareholder documents are published on our website, including our Annual Report.

MANAGING YOUR SHAREHOLDING

Yes, you can do this via the Computershare Investor Centre* portal. Once you’ve registered, you will be able to access your shareholder account online where you can:

  • Find details of dividends paid, shares purchased and shares sold
  • Update your personal details (e.g. address and bank details)
  • Arrange for dividends to be paid directly into your bank account
  • Sell your shares.

To arrange the transfer of ownership, you will need to complete a stock transfer form and send it to Computershare along with your share certificate(s).

Note: Where the transfer is for cash consideration, you will need to send the stock transfer form to your local HM Revenue & Customs office for stamping. For further information please contact Computershare or go to www.gov.uk/tax-buy-shares.

Please contact Computershare to set up payments directly into your bank or building society account. Make sure you have your shareholder reference number (SRN) to hand and quote ‘Clarkson PLC’ in any communication. You can contact them by:

Shareholders can register for payments to be made directly to their bank account. To do this you’ll need to:

  1. Register or log in to the Computershare Investor Centre* portal
  2. Register for the International Funds Transfer Service and accept the terms of the service. Please note that there are separate costs associated with this service.

From September 2023, Clarksons pay dividends to shareholders directly into their bank account and no longer pays dividends by cheque. If you previously received your dividends by cheque, you will need to provide Computershare with your bank or building society details as soon as possible in order to have your dividends paid directly to your bank or building society account. Further information on this change was provided with your final dividend cheque. Please also refer to the question above entitled, ‘How can I receive my dividends?’.

Clarkson PLC dividend cheques must be cashed within 6 months of issue. After this time, payment will need to be reissued to you. You can request this by contacting Computershare, by phone or in writing, and returning the original cheque to them.

From September 2023, Clarksons pays dividends to shareholders directly into their bank account and no longer pays dividends by cheque. If you previously received your dividends by cheque, you will need to provide Computershare with your bank or building society details as soon as possible in order to have your dividends paid directly to your bank or building society account. Further information on this change was provided with your last dividend cheque. Please also refer to the question above entitled, ‘How can I receive my dividends?’.

PROTECTING YOUR SHARES AGAINST FRAUD

In recent years, many companies have become aware that their shareholders have received unsolicited telephone calls or correspondence concerning investment matters. These are typically from overseas-based 'brokers' or callers who target UK shareholders, offering to sell them, what often turn out to be, worthless or high-risk shares in US or UK investments. These operations are commonly referred to as 'boiler rooms'. These callers can be very unpleasant and extremely persuasive, and shareholders are advised to be wary of any unsolicited advice, offers to buy shares at a discount or offers of free company reports.
